We’ve been a little bit slow in reporting this latest enormous chunk of bands to join the Download Festival 2015 Line up, but good things come to those who wait! So, for those of you who haven’t seen this news already, or for those who need to refresh their memories, Andy Copping and his team have put together another cracking announcement with an impressive twenty seven more bands announcing they will take to the hallowed Download turf this Summer.

This is yet another announcement with something for almost everyone. The sight of British extreme metal legends Carcass taking to the Download stage will be a sight and sound that will brighten the hearts of huge numbers of the festival’s devotees. Bill and the guys are clearly delighted too by the following statement:

Well, after years of badgering Andy Copping he has finally broken and agreed to let us despoil Download! We’re genuinely excited to finally get to play Castle Donington after all these years – maybe this time without rolling Landrovers and cracking shoulder bones on the journey there (a LONG story!). We hope to see some of you at a loose end, with no one better to watch at CARCASS’ ONLY UK festival appearance this Summer!

Taking to the Download main stage are two long time stalwarts of the festival – Welsh post-hardcore veterans Funeral For A Friend (who once special guested for Guns N’Roses in 2006) and Alaskan metallers 36 Crazyfists – fresh from their new record deal with Spinefarm Records and their new album Time and Trauma.

Coming off the back of the best twelve months of their career, appearing at Sonisphere and opening for Steel Panther, The Lounge Kittens will make their Download debut and provide one of the highlights of the weekend as only The Kittens can. Be ready for some very unique takes on some very well known songs. Appearing right after the Kittens on Saturday are Reading bruisers Malefice, who made a long overdue and welcome return to Download to incite chaos amongst the fields as only they can.

Other welcome additions to the 2015 Download Festival line up include Italy’s finest metal export Lacuna Coil, thrash titans Suicidal Tendencies who will headline the Red Bull Stage on the final night of the festival and NOLA groove favourites Corrosion Of Conformity. Pop punk stalwarts Yellowcard will also make their Download debut in 2015 by headlining the Pepsi Max Tent on the Sunday.

Continuing through, US arena filling rockers Three Days Grace will be heading to Download as will deathcore mob Upon A Burning Body – keen to make up for the problems that plagued their attempted appearance last year. The rest of the announcement is rounded out with Krokodil, Antemasque, The Wild Lies, Von Hertzen Brothers, September Mourning, The Qemists, Colour of Noise, LTNT, Blues Pills, Fidlar, Get Hot, Chunk No Captain Chunk!, E of E, The Struts, Like A Storm and The Cadillac Three.

All of the above join headliners Slipknot, Muse and KISS, special guests Judas Priest, Faith No More and Motley Crue (in their farewell UK festival appearance) and second stage headliners Black Stone Cherry, Slipknot and Enter Shikari plus dozens more bands at the 2015 Download Festival at Donington Park June 10th – 14th (bands 12th – 14th).
