Southampton based punk band BUDS are back hitting us with brand new music ahead of a stacked summer of festival dates. If you’re new to BUDS, the quartet are fast on the rise and set to become cult favourites. Delivering an iconic mix of punk and emo energy, singing along to their anthems is simply irresistible.

After a busy few years since releasing their 3rd EP, the band have been supporting the likes of Creeper and getting ready to release new track, “Time Well Spent“, marking a more cheerful vibe compared to previous release “Picking Wounds”.

Talking about their new release, the band shared:

There are times in my life where I stare into the void and wonder what I am doing with my life and think of how things could be different if I’d made smarter choices in life. But then from time to time I remember that I’ve actually managed to do some really cool things just because I had the gall to write songs and couldn’t bring myself to quit as I grew older. And it’s crazy! I’m probably never going to not have to have some kind of job outside of music but I’ve managed to do things I never thought I’d be able to even if I aspired to it. When we started this band we thought we’d play a bunch of shows with our friends and have a laugh and now we’ve managed to go to the USA, Germany, played bloody 2000 Trees and do a run of shows opening for one of our favourite bands Touche Amore! We even got to open for another Southampton staple band Creeper! So yeah this life is crazy sometimes and it takes you to crazy places and you make life long friends. I wanted to write a song that reminded me of the good times and specifically why I drove around in a beat up Renault Scenic for years playing shows. Sadly that car got written off last year but it’ll forever be immortalised in the opening lines of this song!
