It’s time for a Metallica European vacation, which of course means, it’s show time!
As part of the 2019 European Worldwired tour, Metallica will play their first UK shows in almost two years. Dates at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester and Twickenham Stadium in London are booked in for Mid June next year, and follow the five sold out UK shows in October 2017 (which includes the show at London’s O2 Arena that Rock Sins reviewed).
As well as playing Manchester on June 18th and London on June 20th, Metallica will play Slane Castle in Ireland on June 8th. All three shows form part of the much bigger Worldwired 2019 European Tour.
Tickets for the two UK shows will go on pre-sale to members of the Metallica fan club tomorrow (Tuesday 25th September). Legacy members will get first access at 10am CET / 9am UK, with newer members getting their chance one hour later. Live Nation will have their pre-sale on Thursday (27th September), with the general sale taking place on Friday, 28th September at 10am UK time.
All tickets purchased for a 2019 European Metallica show will include a copy of the band’s wildly successful album Hardwired…To Self-Destruct as either a download or a CD copy. Ticket holders will also be entitled to a free recording of the show(s) they attend courtesy of LiveMetallica.com. VIP packages of all shapes and sizes will also be available, in addition to the very limited numbers of Wherever I May Roam “black” tickets which allows the bearer standing / floor access to every show on the 2019 Metallica European Tour (certain conditions such as pre-stating show attendance apply).
