Bloodstock promised they would announce their final two 2020 headliners before Halloween. And oh how they have delivered. You can almost hear the words coming from Rob Halford’s mouth now – “Oh Bloodstock The Priest Is Back!”. That’s right, celebrating their 50th anniversary, Judas Priest are bringing their 50 Years Of Heavy Metal celebration to Catton Hall for Bloodstok Open Air Festival 2020.

The main man himself, Sir Robert of House Halford, has recorded a special video message for all the metal maniacs of Bloodstock, so check it out below:

Judas Priest will close Bloodstock 2020, headlining the Sunday night. Joining them, and Friday’s headliner Devin Townsend (performing a very special set including material from the Strapping Young Lad years) are Saturday’s headliners, none other than Behemoth!

After whipping up a storm on the Download Festival main stage last year, Behemoth return to Catton Hall for the first time since 2016 when they performed The Satanist in full. Here’s their main man Nergal on the news:

“BLOODSTOCK! The hallowed lands of Catton Park will once again host our Fiendish Festivities. This is BEHEMOTH’s first UK festival headline and that will be celebrated in the only way we know how; Hell will be raised, blood will be shed, and magick will descend! We shall see you there Legions!”

Nergal’s memory isn’t the best, as Behemoth did actually headline Bloodstock back in 2012, but nevertheless, it promises to be quite a show.

Judas Priest and Behemoth join the recently announced Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals doing their “A Vulgar Display Of Pantera” set (news that has split the online metal community to put it mildly), Paradise Lost doing Draconian Times in full, Life Of Agony and Diamond Head as new additions to the Bloodstock 2020 line up. They join the already announced Devin Townsend, Skindred, Jinjer, Vio-Lence, Sacred Reich, Dark Tranquility, Gloryhammer, The Black Dahlia Murder and Butcher Babies, with dozens more bands to come across multiple stages.

Early bird tickets, VIP tickets, kids tickets and car parking passes for Bloodstock Open Air 2020 are all available right now at the official online ticket shop. Camper Van tickets are already sold out.

Bloodstock Festival 2020 takes place on the 6th – 9th of August at its usual home of Catton Hall in Derbyshire.
