Metallica have announced they are getting in on the live stream act! James, Rob, Kirk and Lars have announced a special acoustic streamed show – “Live & Acoustic From HQ”, taking place on the 14th of November 2020.
For us here in the UK, Live & Acoustic From HQ will take place at 10pm, with the show at 11pm for those on CET, 5pm for those on Eastern US time, 4pm Central and 2pm for those on the West Coast of the US on Pacific time.
With Live & Acoustic From HQ, Metallica will be raising money for their All Within My Hands charitable foundation. The band have been using the foundation to help a variety of causes over the length of the COVID-19 pandemic. Standard tickets to the show cost $15 and allow the ticket holder to watch the show live, as well as to stream it on demand as many times as they want for 48 hours afterwards.
There are also three other ticket bundles for the show. There is a ticket + mp3 download of the show bundle ($25), a bundle with ticket, download and exclusive t-shirt ($45 plus shipping), and also a deluxe level. The deluxe ticket ($95 plus shipping) gets you all of the stuff mentioned, plus a place on the Metallica family virtual fan wall for one song during the performance (we haven’t seen exact details, but we’re guessing fairly similar to the WWE Thunderdome setup – check that out if you haven’t seen it). To get your tickets, head to metallica.com/awmh.
There will also be a helping hands auction, raising money for the foundation. Details of the auction will be announced closer to showtime.
Metallica’s most recent release, S&M2, was released at the end of August 2020. Check out the Rock Sins review of S&M2 on this link. Stay tuned to Rock Sins for further Metallica updates as and when we have them.
