Five years since the release of their last single, the Celtic punk rock phenomenon Flogging Molly are back with their annual St Patrick’s Day show, as well as a new single and tour, that you won’t want to miss.
These Times Have Got Me Drinking, the band’s latest single, released today, is upbeat and filled with the classic Irish traditional melodies and punk rock instrumentation that define the LA based seven piece.
When asked about the song, frontman Dave King explained: “It’s a perfect song for right now, I think it summarises everything our band is about – which is celebration with our loved ones in trying times. It’s about joy amidst, and in spite of, stuff trying to grind us down.”

As well as their livestreamed St Patrick’s Day show (the information for which can be found here) and an exciting new single, the band have announced a brand new American and European tour for 2022. As someone who has had the pleasure of seeing this band live I cannot recommend them enough. From the opening bars of their first song, to the last the band drew on the riotous joy that radiated from the crowd and put on a show that had me dancing with strangers and wishing for the night to never end. To put it simply, Flogging Molly is unlike anything you will have seen or heard before, and they will no doubt leave a smile on your face for weeks after.
