South Yorkshires foremost purveyors of heavy riffs and bowel altering breakdowns Malevolence announced their latest studio album yesterday. With the bands fourth full length outing, Where Only The Truth Is Spoken, now scheduled for release on June 20th.
Alongside the announcement of their long awaited follow up to 2022’s Malicious Intent. They also released a teaser of things to come with a monumental new single entitled, If It’s All The Same To You. Featuring a cheeky cameo from Alan Richardson. A man who many will know as a righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent… Or, more simply, Bricktop. From his memorable appearance in Guy Ritchie’s classic crime thriller, Snatch.
A little extra star power isn’t all that Malevolence are promising with their latest album. Who had this to say about the announcement-
“Where Only the Truth Is Spoken’ is a level up in every sense—musically, lyrically, and visually. This was our first time recording outside the UK, and doing it in LA with Josh Wilbur was fun and refreshing. He’s worked with some of the biggest names in metal, and his approach pushed us to challenge new heights. The production, the songwriting, the videos—everything about this record is bigger, heavier, and more refined.”
Recorded at Dave Grohls mythical Studio 606, Where Only The Truth Is Spoken is poised to take the group from Sheffield to even higher heights. However, those hoping for a UK festival appearance to coincide with its summer release may be disappointed. As Malevolence are set to spend the majority of the festival season overseas, supporting Counterparts and Alpha Wolf respectively on their own headline tours. But, we can still keep our collective fingers crossed for a secret set at this year’s Download Festival!

Until then, you can head over to the bands official website to pre-order your copy of Where Only The Truth Is Spoken. Or, if you’d rather, go and follow them on social media to stay up to date on Malevolence’s every move!
