Lots of updates from the world of Download Festival 2026! Despite our headline, we’re going to do things in reverse order, and give you the newest news first.
Those with eagle eyes on social media over the last couple of days will have spotted two new additions to the Download Festival 2026 main line up – British rock legends The Wildhearts, and Bristolian doom noise makers Mould. The Wildhearts will be kicking things off on the Opus Stage on Middle Saturday, June 13th, while Mould will open The Avalanche stage on Sunday, June 14th. You can check out the updated poster below:
We also need to catch our readers up on the wild, wacky, varied and ultimately fantastic line up that will be coming to the Download Festival village this year in District X!
Following on from the iconic Vengaboys performance last year, the District X team have only gone and booked 90’s boyband Five, fresh from last years’ huge comeback and arena tour! If last year is anything to go by, there’s gonna be a full Doghouse wanting to Keep On Movin! We’ve got the traditionally excellent acoustic performance, which this year is being filled by The All American Rejects! Dirty Little Secret acoustic?! Yes please!
We’ve got big exclusive party set performances coming from Electric Six and Cancer Bats’ Sabbath worshipping alter ego’s Bat Sabbath. We’ve got live DJ sets from everyone from kids TV heroes Dick & Dom to dubstep royalty Modestep and Holding Absence / Funeral For A Friend frontman Lucas Woodland to Creeper!
There’s primary school bangers (literally), live podcasts, quizzes, bongo’s bingo, traditional club nights like Facedown and Chop Suey, and so, so much more. Download Festival 2026 is headlined by Limp Bizkit, Guns N’ Roses and Linkin Park topping off approximately 100 bands on the main Download Festival line up. As of last checking, all weekend tickets are now sold out and only Saturday day tickets remain!
