With just over a month to go before this year’s 2000trees festival and whether you’re a seasoned trees veteran or a novice attending for the first time after seeing all the hype, you’re in the right place for the best run down and all the tips. After all, there’s a reason 2000trees has won best UK medium festival 3 times in a row and we can’t wait for 2025!
While the site may be significantly smaller than some of the big names out there, it packs in just as much – if not more, over 4 days. Wednesday offers a more exclusive feeling with a limited capacity and just the one stage open. Think of it as the worst kept secret. The past couple of years 4-day tickets have flung out the doors the second they hit sale. If you’re one of the lucky few, you already know what we’re talking about, but if you’re eyeing them up for next year we’ll spill the details to tempt you. Heading down on Wednesday not only means securing the best tent pitch for you and your mates, but a whole extra afternoon and evening of specially selected bands by trees organisers. You’ll also have that extra bit of time to scope out the festival grounds and get your bearings with fewer people around while you make your action plan to cram in as many amazing acts as you can over the next few days.

It’s been strongly established the 2000trees organisers know exactly what they’re doing when it comes to booking a beautiful line up for their festival, but they also know what they’re doing when it comes to booking food, drink, and bev vendors. Not often will you find fans of a festival demanding the announcement of the food vendor line up quite as excitedly as you do for 2000trees. Completely different to the majority of festivals or events, 2000trees hosts a range of the best quality independent and small businesses to keep you fuelled while partying to all the bands, many of which are long established favourites invited back year on year (Honorable mention to Suzies and Bunnymans, if you know, you know.) We all know festival season perfectly lines up with Iced coffee season, and Little Espresso Company has you covered for your morning brew. Whether you just need that morning pick me up or hangover cure, there will be something on site to make you feel human again. And as always, heros buy beeros. Unlike a lot of other festivals, 2000trees allows you to bring your own beverages of choice into the arenas… so long as you don’t take it too far and you still buy a few at the bar to support the festival to keep going.
One thing you can not miss, is heading down to the forest, while we may still be mourning the small and whimsical first stage the forest had, its big upgrade is just as magical. Offering the most gorgeous surroundings, its impossible not to get fully engrossed in the music here, and this is where you’ll find everything on Wednesday. On a typical day in the earlier hours this is the perfect hang out spot when you want something a bit calmer and laid back. Often filled with acoustic or lighter sets you can pitch up here and easily spend the entire day. Watching each band while your body is engulfed with goosebumps. But fear not fans of something heavier, while it is known for its more laid back vibe, the forest has been known in the past to absolutely tear it up and leave you needing a little retreat to catch your breath again.

And what would 2000trees be without its headliners? Love them or hate them, agree or disagree, Kneecap are firmly set in that headline spot and have been the talk of the trees town. Set to be one of the only UK headline performances this year after many other performances have been cancelled this set might be one of the most talked about moments of the weekend.
Taking Back Sunday will also be taking up one of the 5 headline slots over the weekend, and its one to make damn sure you see. This is a band that feels like its been an incredibly long time coming and we really can’t wait to see what they deliver!
While you make sure you’ve packed your sun cream, waterproofs and extra loo roll, we’ll take care of the music! To help you get in the mood we’ve also put together a playlist of some of big hits and the team’s favourite tracks from a variety of artists’ playing this years festival, so whether you’re planning on seeing all of your favourite bands, or looking forward to discovering someone knew, get listening now!
