Everyone knows how much Team Rock Sins loves Bowling For Soup. A simple search of this site will find coverage of just about everything “BFS” have done since Rock Sins set up shop in the second half of 2009. So it’s no surprise how thrilled we are about Jaret, Erik, Chris and Gary returning for the How About Another Round Tour in February 2016.
We can now reveal just who will be joining Bowling For Soup on their extended trip around the British Isles. Old friends of BFS, The Dollyrots, will be serving as main support for the tour, having previously done so on the “One Big Happy” tour which also featured Patent Pending back in 2012. Opening up will be Nottingham alt-rockers Lacey, who may be familiar to some Bowling For Soup fans from touring with Jaret’s other band People On Vacation earlier this year.
Following the announcement that The Dollyrots and Lacey would be coming onboard to the How About Another Round Tour, both bands wanted to have their say on the news. Here’s Kelly and Luis aka The Dollyrots take on it:
“Bowling For Soup has taken us on some amazing adventures and the UK is one of our all-time favorite places to rock together! We’re thrilled to bring this party back to some of the best fans on the planet!”
Lacey’s thoughts meanwhile probably would have gone on forever had the press release not run out of space:
“We are beyond honoured and excited to be joining Bowling for Soup on their ‘How About Another Round’ Tour. We’ve been very fortunate to tour with Jaret and his band People on Vacation a couple of times, as well as Erik’s solo band a few years back, and it’s always an amazing time, so to be able to tour with the whole gang is a real dream come true for us and we’re looking forward to a beer or 20 with the guys each night. Every time we’ve seen BFS over the years they’ve just been so much fun, and we’re ready to get everyone in the sprit together with the awesome Dollyrots for a massively fun show every night. It’s gonna be unmissable”.
