They could have been trolling us one more time but instead, Guns N’Roses have announced they’re back! And by Guns N’Roses, we mean a good portion of the original line up – not Axl and friends as it has been in recent years. At minimum Axl Rose will be joined in the 2016 version of GnR by Slash and Duff McKagan, the former having buried past differences with Axl after falling out over two decades ago.
Guns N’Roses will embark on a huge American stadium headline tour this Summer (the full list of shows will be linked below), in addition to previously announced appearances at Coachella, as well as in Las Vegas and in Mexico.
The full list of shows is available from the bands’ official website, as well as details of the Nightrain (GnR fanclub) pre-sales – which start tomorrow (2nd April 2016). General sale for most dates is the 8th of April – but check the website for full information. The tour is titled the “Not In This Lifetime” tour, which is a reference to a very famous quote by Axl Rose when asked a few years ago about the possibilities of a tour such as this happening with other original members.
Oh, one other thing, GnR will be playing legendary Californian rock venue The Troubadour Club in LA tonight (April 1st 2016). The band announced limited tickets would be on sale on a first come first served basis and hundreds are already in the queue for tonight’s show which will see Guns N’Roses on stage somewhere around 11pm (standard stage time for Axl in the later years). Whomever fills the other slots in the band alongside the legendary Slash and Duff McKagan, one thing’s for sure, it’ll be a helluva show.
