It’s Bloodstock 2018 Festival Line Up news time. The BOA team have got another eight bands for us all and in typical Bloodstock fashion, it’s a real mixed bag of sizes, shapes and styles.
Leading the charge this time are Swedish pop/death metallers Amaranthe, who will hit the Ronnie James Dio main stage of BOA 2018 on the Sunday. Described by some as “disney metal”, they’ve had huge success in recent years with songs like Drop Dead Cynical, which you can see the video for below:
BOA are also very pleased to welcome another seven bands to the Sophie Lancaster Stage across the weekend. Friday will see the addition of Century Media Records backed Manchester death metal crew Ingested and the genre-melding Mortishead, who are Metal 2 The Masses winners from years gone by.
Saturday’s Sophie Stage line up is bolstered by the impressive duo of Dead Label and Voyager. Dead Label will be making the short hop across the Irish Channel, while prog masters Voyager are coming all the way from Australia to join the fun and games at BOA 2018.
Last but not least, on Sunday the Sophie Stage will play home to German punk/black metallers Mantar, who are returning after having to cancel a planned appearance last year. They will be joined by Brighton thrashers King Leviathan, and modern metal / thrash supergroup Act Of Defiance – founded a few years ago by ex Megadeth duo Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover.
All of the above bands join headliners Judas Priest, Gojira and Nightwish, along with special guests Emperor and At The Gates and many more such as Fozzy, Devildriver, Kamelot, Wednesday 13, Watain, Suicidal Tendencies and many, many more at Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2018.
