Over the years, 2000 Trees has developed a reputation for being a totally unique and utterly enchanting festival experience, with a consistently stacked and varied line-up, a distinctively inimitable stage set in a forest for huge names to cultivate sets that feel intimate and special and an incomparable feeling of community, and it comes as no surprise that 2026 was no different.
On Saturday, despite the scorching heat, both the artists and fans brought relentless energy across all the stages, with bands like Battlesnake jumping into the crowd to start circle pits and crowdsurf, Ho99o9 climbing the stage rigging of the Axiom tent, and Cody Frost whipping the crowd into a frenzy on the newly named Marshall stage.
For those wanting a more relaxed time, the likes of A Forest and Arcane Roots’ acoustic sets in The Forest provided pared back and soulful vibes and some much needed shade from the sun. You’d find it hard to believe that the festival had suffered the blow of a headliner pulling out of the festival just days before it started due to sickness; after 19 years the Trees team are seasoned pros and the festival a well-oiled machine, with every bit of preparation put in place to ensure festival-goers could stay safe in the heat and soak up every magical moment. There truly isn’t another festival like it and the shared joy and appreciation of the wonderful atmosphere is evident between musicians and fans alike throughout the entirety of Upcote Farm; all we can say is roll on 2027 and we can’t wait to see what the 20th Anniversary of Trees will bring!
