There’s lots of news from the Download Festival camp to report on about the 2022 edition of the festival at the moment. Firstly, for those of you who either can’t make the full weekend, or just have those one or two bands that you are desperate to see – day tickets for Download Festival 2022 are now on sale!
Fancy seeing Iron Maiden, Creeper, Holding Absence and Bleed From Within but can’t make the other days? No problem. Likewise if you’d like nothing more than an afternoon and evening consisting of Rise Against, Volbeat, Spiritbox, Tremonti, KoRn and either Biffy Clyro or Myles Kennedy, then the Download organisers have you covered with their day tickets.
Day tickets for Download 2022 cost £90 for adults and £35 for children, and are available from the usual outlets including Ticketmaster.
Following the success of last years’ Download Pilot – the first UK festival to take place since the COVID pandemic, the full Download experience returns this time around.
Download Festival 2022 takes place at it’s usual home, the UK’s hallowed spirital home of rock and metal, Donington Park. The festival will be headlined this year by KISS (Friday), Iron Maiden, performing their Legacy Of The Beast set (Saturday) and Biffy Clyro (Sunday). The three main stage headliners are joined by approximately a hundred bands over the three days of the main festival.
For those getting the full weekend experience, there are also the half a dozen or so bands playing the Boardie Takeover in the Download Festival village on Thursday afternoon and evening. The exact line up for the boardie takeover is still to be confirmed, but includes several of the bands originally announced all the way back in 2020 pre-COVID including Fury UK and Sertraline.
