The veteran punk band Dropkick Murphys have announced their thirteenth studio album, ‘For The People’, set for release on July 4, 2025, via Dummy Luck Music. This upcoming release continues Dropkick Murphys’ legacy of standing firmly with the working class.
The album features notable collaborations, including a tribute to Shane MacGowan of The Pogues with the song “One Last Goodbye,” featuring The Scratch. Longtime vocalist Al Barr returns for a guest appearance on “The Vultures Circle High,” marking his first contribution since his hiatus in 2022 .
Frontman Ken Casey’s recent trip to Ukraine also underscores that For The People isn’t just an album title, but it’s a reflection of Dropkick Murphys’ deeply held values. His participation in humanitarian aid shows the band is committed to living out their principles. They’ve raised significant funds for Ukrainian relief efforts. Most notably, through the sale of limited-edition t-shirts. Casey’s recent visit to the country was a powerful gesture of solidarity, reinforcing the band’s ongoing support for Ukraine.
Alongside this announcement, the Boston-based group have also dropped their lead single, “Who’ll Stand With Us?”, which is already making waves. You can view the full music video below.
The track continues the band’s tradition of delivering high-energy Celtic punk with a powerful message. Frontman Ken Casey emphasises the urgency of unity in the face of societal challenges, stating, “I think about my kids’ future, and the next generation… simply making sure you take the time to tell the people close to you how important they are to you” .
