Gigs That (Hopefully) Won’t Break The Bank – August 2026 Edition!

Gigs That Hopefully Won't Break The Bank Header Image

We’re back with our second installment of upcoming gigs and tours that hopefully make your bank account scream at you after buying a ticket. We’ve added a bunch of new shows for August and September as well as listings for October as well. Unfortunately, none of these bands will offer the opportunity to watch the show on a screen from the side of the stage for £60.

Every month we’re going to put together some listings of upcoming gigs and tours we think you should really consider taking a punt on where the face value* of the ticket won’t be more than £20 (unless you’re in London, then it might be a few quid more again, sorry about that). You can check them out first, or maybe just go inblind, there’s nothing better than being blown away by a band you’ve never even heard of before. We’re going to show you some highlights coming up this month, and list some more happening from August to October that you can take a look into as well. Whether you’re into Death Metal, Hardcore, Pop-Punk or something that leans to the more Folky side of things, there should hopefully be something for you here!

*Prices are approximate as they may change from city to city and promoter to promoter, and we’re going off of face value as booking fees can also vary depending on where you purchase your ticket from. We’ll do our best!

If you are a promoter or band that would like to have your show listed in future listings, please fill in this form and we will be sure to include it next month – https://forms.gle/QEqZegxoXnsDUmR9A

AUGUST

New World Man w/ No Idols – £5 – £15

If you like your Hardcore thrashy and fast, then you should absolutely be making an effort to make it down to one of New World Man’s upcoming shows alongside No Idols. They’ll be doing a handful of headline shows with various local support, as well as playing with Merauder in Manchester and at United & Strong Fest in London with the likes of Fury and The Flex, and if you’re up north then tickets for Leeds are only five quid (that’s £1 per band!)

1 August – Glasgow, Old Hairdresser’s
2 August – Newcastle, The Lubber Fiend
3 August – Manchester, The Bread Shed (supporting Merauder SOLD OUT)
4 August – Leeds, BOOM – A FIVER!!!
5 August – Brighton, Daltons

Leeched £10 – £15

All has been quiet in the Leeched camp for quite some time now, but the Manchester grind trio will finally be performing their first live shows since 2020! They’ll be at The Black Heart in London with Break Fifty and Only Pain before a set at ArcTanGent that weekend. And then exactly 1 month later they will be at the Star & Garter for a homecoming show with Flesh Creep and Only Pain. These shows are sure to be punishing and for less than £20 you really can’t go wrong. If you like Nails, Trap Them or Neurosis then DO NOT MISS THIS.

18 August – London – The Black Heart (Break Fifty / Only Pain)
18 September – Manchester – The Star & Garter (Flesh Creep / Only Pain)

Prostitute £12.50 – £16.50

Dearborn, Michigan’s noise-rock quintet will be returning to the UK and Ireland for some shows in the middle of their European tour this month. Their debut album, Attempted Martyr, released in 2024 to critical acclaim, with post-rock and middle-eastern influences in their music, and dealing with themes like politics and religion, the album is as raw as their live show. They will be performing 6 headline shows on this run, with a set at Green Man Festival thrown in to the middle too. Be sure to check them out if you like stuff along the lines of Swans or At The Drive-In.
