You want to know who is playing Download Festival 2026 and on what day?! All the answers are waiting for you here! If you want to know what time and the exact awful clashes you’re going to have to cope with, that information traditionally doesn’t come until much closer to festival time. Regardless of that, Download goers everywhere can now start (and have already been) firmly planning their schedules for the annual pilgrimage to the hallowed Donington turf this Summer.
Some questions that we posed in our recent Download feature have been answered; We know where Scooter are in the line up. We also got our wish for Blood Incantation to be in the Dogtooth tent at late at night as possible (everyone pray to the gods of Axl’s ego that The Dogtooth at least can carry on with normal scheduling when GnR are on the main stage). There’s no sign of The London Symphony Orchestra with Cyprus Hill, but we knew that was probably a long shot.
Lets take a look at the new additions to the Download 2026 line up – there are some crackers! Creeper will both lighten and darken proceedings on Friday’s Opus stage with their Steinman-esque goth rock. Joining Creeper on the Opus Stage Friday are US rockers Daughtry, currently tearing up arenas across the UK with Alter Bridge. Conjurer won’t be lightening moods or anything else, apart from possibly a few stomachs in the Dogtooth Stage on Saturday if their bass reaches previously known levels. Nu generation of nu metal (see what we did there) upstarts Silly Goose are making their Download debut in the Avalanche Stage on Friday early on, while Decessus – the Chilean death metal outfit fronted by Miss World Chile Ignacia Fernandez are also heading to Donington for the first time, playing the Dogtooth Stage on Sunday afternoon.
Then we also have Download old favourites and Ocala natives A Day To Remember causing clash nightmares for some people as they headline the Opus Stage on Sunday night. People will be awaiting exact timings with bated breath as they work out how much they can see of a mixture of ADTR, Linkin Park, Scooter and Static X. For those who love a bit of video game music, you won’t get too much better than The Primals (the official band of Final Fantasy XIV) performing outside of Asia for the first time ever – catch them in the Dogtooth on Friday afternoon. Rounding things off we also have Marmozets, BAND-MAID, Stampin’ Ground (We are very excited for this), Frozemode, Annisokay and Private School joining the Download Festival 2026 line up.
All of these bands join headliners Limp Bizkit, Guns N’ Roses and Linkin Park as part of the approximately 100 bands on the main Download Festival line up. Further announcements including the District X line up and the Takeover at Download line up will follow in the coming months. Day tickets for the festival are now on sale alongside remaining weekend tickets (Five day camping is now sold out). If you are yet to get tickets and are in need, you can head over to Ticketmaster on this link and snap them up before they are all completely gone!
Stay tuned to Rock Sins for plenty more Download related content as we get closer to the event of the Summer!
