Tenacious D, Joe Bonamassa, Slash Achieve UK Album Chart Success

Tenacious D 2012 Press Shot

Every now and then at Rocksins we like to report on the successes of rock or metal artists in the UK album charts and there’s been a fair bit of success the last couple of weeks that we think you should all know about.

Last week, Tenacious D’s third studio album The Rize Of The Fenix hit the lofty heights of number 2 in the charts, unfortunately only being kept off top spot by the return of Keane (something we could have all done without quite frankly) and their latest album Strangeland. “The Mighty D” are currently at number 23 in their second week of the album’s release.

This week, number two in the album chart is occupied by a classic rock legend as Joe Bonamassa’s latest solo offering Driving Towards The Daylight sits high in the charts, just behind Emeli Sande, which is a great effort from Joe’s fanbase and we are sure everyone who is a fan of or connected with Joe Bonamassa will be extremely pleased with that.

Lastly but certainly not least, another guitar legend has joined the UK album chart as the man with the most famous hat in rock & roll Slash enters the chart at number 27 with his second solo album through Roadrunner Records, Apocalyptic Love (featuring Myles Kennedy on 100% vocal duties this time around).

This is a familiar plea on this website but PLEASE keep buying the music from your favourite artists, it makes a world of difference and unless they’re the Metallica’s and Iron Maiden’s of this world, they will have bills to pay too. Further rock & metal chart update news can be found here on Rocksins as the weeks go by as it develops.
