One of the UK’s most successful rock bands of all time, two time headliners of Download Festival and one of only a handful of acts to have ever had two diamond albums in the US charts (10,000,000 sales per album), Def Leppard are kicking off the start of their 2013 with a bang.

The Sheffield five piece are soon to begin a short residency at “The Joint”, located inside The Hard Rock Cafe & Hotel in Las Vegas. During this residency, which is entitled VIVA Hysteria, the band will be playing their iconic Hysteria album from start to finish, plus a selection of their other hits spanning their thirty plus years as a band.

To co-incide with this celebratory residency in Las Vegas, Def Leppard have decided to re-record one of their most beloved songs, leading us to “Hysteria Re-Recorded”. The title track from the fans favourite 1987 album has been given a new lease of life by Joe Elliott and co, as Joe himself explains:

“We wanted to do something special to coincide with the Las Vegas Viva! Hysteria residency, so we decided that to re-record the Album’s title track would be the perfect way to bring together the live & the studio experience in a 2013 celebration of all things Hysteria.”

The re-recorded version of Hysteria was made available on iTunes this past Tuesday (19th March 2013) so it is available for download right now! VIVA Hysteria begins this coming Friday (22nd March 2013) at The Hard Rock Cafe & Hotel in Las Vegas and runs until April 18th 2013.
