They proclaimed they were returning to Save Rock & Roll. We’re not quite sure about that, but Rocksins were pretty pleased when Fall Out Boy announced their reunion, and judging by this piece of news, so were a lot of other people!
They weren’t quite able to match Paramore achievements of two weeks ago in topping the UK Album Chart (see that story here) but Patrick, Pete, Joe and Andy can be very proud of the fact that Save Rock & Roll has hit number two in the UK album chart for this week.
Over in their homeland however, Fall Out Boy managed to go one better. Save Rock & Roll, which is the first Fall Out Boy album since 2008’s Folie à Deux slammed onto the Billboard Top 200 US Album Charts straight at Number One. So overall, the boys comeback can be considered quite the chart success!
Fall Out Boy will next be on our shores appearing at Reading and Leeds Festivals 2013 alongside the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Biffy Clyro, Eminem, Bring Me The Horizon, Deftones and Green Day. To try and tide you over until then, we’ll leave you with the video for Fall Out Boy’s most recent single The Phoenix, enjoy!
