Another week and another three excellent bands join the cast at Bloodstock Open Air Festival’s 2014 instalment. Following on from last week’s announcement of Amon Amarth joining the fray, their Defenders Of The Faith IV partners in metal, British extreme metal legends Carcass are also joining the line up at BOA 2014. Carcass will serve as special guests to the mighty Emperor on the Saturday night – what a combination that is! Carcass vocalist Jeff Walker is bullish about their return to BOA:
“Unfinished business… Carcass will return to Bloodstock 2014. With new blood, new album, new songs, we’ll be firing on all cylinders. If you think you’ve already seen this band, think again. We’ll see you come what may in the mud and the rain, there to knock the air out of your inflatable swords and knock the wind out of your sails. Let there be rot!”
Joining Carcass at Bloodstock 2014 will be former headliners of the event in 2007 Lacuna Coil. Having recently teamed up with Paradise Lost as special guests on their 25th anniversary tour, Lacuna Coil are now back hard at work in the studio putting the finishing touches on their next album which is currently scheduled to land in March 2014. Speaking on behalf of the Lacuna Coil camp, the lovely Christina Scabbia had this to say about returning to BOA in 2014:
“To be back at Bloodstock will be such a BLAST! I can’t wait to see my family of Coilers in the UK again and to meet new friends. I promise pure damn adrenaline from our stage!! See ya there!”
Rounding off this trio of bands is Irish pagan metal act Primordial. Primordial are not a band who tour very often, so seize on this opportunity to catch them in the flesh. Having wowed the crowds at Bloodstock 2011, Primordial return three years later to Catton Hall to entertain the masses once again. Alongside the aforementioned Emperor, Down and Megadeth will headline the already amazing line up of Bloodstock Open Air 2014 including Saxon, Children Of Bodom, Obituary, Crowbar and many more with dozens more bands to be announced.
Anyone who wants to arrive at BOA 2014 with their tent all ready and set up for them might be interested in the new offer from Tangerine Fields (who will also be selling VIP packages).
