Beartooth, Tonight Alive & Against Me Head New Slam Dunk 2017 Festival Line Up Additions

Slam Dunk Festival are not hanging around with their 2017 line up. Having already announced some huge acts like headliners Enter Shikari (celebrating the 10th anniversary of Take To The Skies), Don Broco and Bowling For Soup, there’s now another nine bands joining the party.

First up are US metalcore favourites Beartooth. Having put in a blistering performance at Download last year, Caleb Shomo and pals will be laying waste to Hatfield, Birmingham and Leeds this Spring as part of Slam Dunk 2017.

Returning to Slam Dunk after four years away are Australian pop rockers Tonight Alive, who’s frontwoman Jenna McDougall is very excited about the return:

“Slam Dunk fam! It’s been four long years! We can’t wait to reunite and play for you this May. The UK always brings some of the best shows and we know this time won’t be any different!”

Having broken through into the mainstream consciousness thanks to new album Shape Shift With Me and frontwoman Laura Jane Grace’s best selling autobiography, Against Me! will be the highlight of Slam Dunk Festival 2017 for many people and are a most welcome addition. Keeping with the punk theme, The Bronx are also onboard and set to deliver a dose of madness and high octane punk rock across the weekend.

Adding to the already announced ska superpowers of Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish, two more huge ska names have been announced. Firstly the legendary Goldfinger will be appearing at Slam Dunk Festival this May, and they’ll be joined by California natives Mad Caddies.

Lastly, the final trio of bands are the reactivated The MovieLife, Tonight Alive’s fellow Aussies Trophy Eyes, and Like Pacific.

Tickets for Slam Dunk Festival 2017 are on sale now priced at £44 or £49 with the afterparty. Grab your tickets and all the other information you need at www.slamdunkmusic.com – with plenty more bands to be announced in the weeks and months ahead.
