Having seen bright new young UK talent Charlie Manning take home the victory last time out, we’re back for another video of the week with six very different bands and six very different videos for you to vote on.
First up this time around are Ireland natives Stormzone and their homage to B movie horror films with their “video shoot gone wrong” video for Another Rainy Night. Accompanied by a very clever press release which made the reader think the band had actually gone missing (alright, we were having a gullible morning), this is a highly entertaining video and the track is great too. Check out Another Rainy Night.
Blood Youth are a ban who’ve attracted a lot of attention here recently, having thoroughly impressed us with their recent London show and also being one of our bands to watch at Download 2017. Their new video for What I’m Running From is set in the woods and has an appropriately dark mood to go with the track. Blood Youth have had a great first half of 2017, do you want to help them keep it going?
Always with a flair for the dramatic, Aussie prog rockers The Red Paintings new video for Deleted Romantic is definitely one for those amongst our readers with an artistic temperament. It is very visually impressive, and Deleted Romantic itself is a haunting track that will catch the ears of many. Like what you’ve seen? Then vote for The Red Paintings!
Current favourites of many of the biggest UK rock and metal press outlets (Hi Rock Sound), UK metalcore bruisers Our Hollow, Our Home are another band having a great 2017, and their new video for Hartsick shows them laying waste in the live environment, something they’ve become rather good at doing. It’s a simple yet very effective video that will likely see a few #deskmosh moments.
Next up this week are South Coast punks Miss Vincent, who’ve made extremely good use of a very average looking living room for their new video Cold Hands. The video almost has a Weezer-esque feel, while the track shows exactly why they are so highly thought of by so many. If Cold Hands gives you the warm and fuzzy feeling inside, then vote for Miss Vincent!
Finally, can he make it three in a row? Seemingly Rock Sins’ readers cannot get enough of Wednesday 13 at the moment, with the man also known for his time in the Murderdolls taking home 2 winners medals from video of the week this year already. Based on the way his army of undead fans get the vote out, we wouldn’t bet against our Saturday night Download Festival Dogtooth Stage headliner making it three in a row with the comic book themed Cruel To You – but only you, the readers, can make that happen.
So there we are! Six bands, only one can win. Vote closes at 12 midday UK time next Monday (29th of May). Get voting!
