A few days ago, Slipknot looked like they were up to something. A mysterious countdown appeared on their website, counting down to 5pm (UK time) today (4th March 2019). Now that the countdown has hit zero, we know just what Slipknot were planning!
Firstly, there is a target release date for their as yet untitled new album. Friday August 9th 2019 is the date for everyone’s diaries for the next Slipknot album. With this in mind, hopefully we will hear a new song or two in their Download Festival headlining performance this Summer.
Secondly, they have announced an ENORMOUS US tour with an astounding support lineup. Dubbed the Knotfest Roadshow, Slipknot are taking Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth on the road with them across the US this Summer. Check out the promotional video from their Twitter feed below:
