Rejoice! For fans of everything off kilter and progressively minded, Christmas has come a month early in the form of the first ArcTanGent announcement, and it is an absolute world beater. 2020 will mark the eighth year of the annual gathering at Fernhill Farm, Bristol, and this first announcement includes first Arc stage headliners, Opeth, as well as a host of other amazing acts.
Appearing alongside the Swedish luminaries will be Yokhai stage headliners Ihsahn and This Will Destroy You, as well as appearances from the earth shattering Amenra and the progressive tech maestros, TesseracT.
Once again there is a good innings for Holy Roar Records – always a great, great thing – in the form of appearances from Rolo Tomassi, who confirmed via their Twitter account that they will be performing Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It and Grievances in full, Ohhms, Svalbard, Curse These Metal Hands, Boss Keloid and likely more to be confirmed in future.
Also appearing at the festival; Perturbator, earthone9 who will be performing their 2000 album Arctangent in full, Giraffes? Giraffes!, Frontierer, Raketkanon – it may be the last time you see them ever so go HAM – , GosT, Quail vs Kenny, Scalping, Alpha Male Tea Party, Stake, Body Hound, Vasa, Luo, Briqueville, Fes, Tankengine, The K. and Mountain Caller.
