Hear Westview’s Nashville-fused new single ‘Cross Your Heart’

Westview, the brand new country act hailing from LA and Miami, has unveiled its latest single release, Cross Your Heart.

The release comes hot of the heels of two stand-alone tracks, What It Ain’t and Old Fashioned Love released in late 2019 and January 2020 respectively. The former of which has already amassed over 100,000 streams on the digital streaming service Spotify.

Cross Your Heart, which is a re-release from the back-catalogue of the bands’ former project, Stellar Revival, sets the scene for Westview’s new musical blend of country and rock music, injecting a big slab of Nashville-inspired tones into the track.

Speaking on the release of Cross Your Heart, Westview drummer, Andrew Koussevitzky explains, “We re-recorded it in Good Charlotte’s studio in North Hollywood, California last year with Zakk Cervini (Blink 182, Poppy, Architects, Good Charlotte, Beartooth), and it’s one of my favourite recordings we have to date.”

“When our singer, Rino Cerbone, wrote that song with producer Brian Howes (Nickelback, Skillet, Daughtry, David Cook) many moons ago, we set big plans for it as a single. Unfortunately, the song was never given a proper release back then so we’ve set out to change that with the re-release.”

Bassist Mike Lowther adds, “It was really magical reviving a song we truly love and putting it in a new light. We sort of went through a few songs on that record and were like, “these would sound great in this new direction.” When Cross Your Heart started coming together, we all sort of looked at each other and had these big, silly grins on our faces. It was a really exciting feeling in that moment.”

Cross Your Heart is available now on all streaming platforms and for purchase via Apple Music, Amazon and Google Play. Head here to see where you can pick up the track.

Westview is Rino Cerbone (Vocals), Ryan Spears (Guitar), Steve Morgan (Guitar), Mike Lowther (Bass) and Andrew Koussevitzky (Drums). Keep up to date with all things Westview on social media over on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
