UK Rock & Heavy Music Festival Guide 2022

Parkway Drive, Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2019 - Matt Higgs

Festival season is almost here and given the lack of live music and festivals we’ve had over the last two years, we are well and truly ready to rock our socks off, we don’t even mind if it rains (a little bit), just as long as we get to be in a field with our friends and some fine music!

Make sure you get your music festival fix this summer and check out our guide to the ultimate rock and heavy music festivals in the UK, from May to September 2022…

The UK’s annual dose of pop punk, punk, ska and metalcore that is Slam Dunk returns to its now established locations of Leeds and Hatfield for a double dose this year. With the likes of Sum 41, Alexisonfire, Neck Deep, The Dropkick Murphys and Beartooth at the top of the bill, there’s likely to be at least one headliner to please everyone, and probably a bunch of tough choices to make. Further down the line up, bands like The Interrupters, The Wonder Years, Cancer Bats, Counterparts, Yours Truly and As December Falls will definitely ensure a good time will be had by all. Stay tuned for further updates on Slam Dunk as we get deeper into festival season!

The spiritual home of the UK’s rock and metal community welcomes the masses back to Donington Park for the first time in three years for a full festival (after the success of the Download Pilot last year). A mix of the established headliners and some of the UK and elsewhere’s brightest up and coming talent means there is a huge amount of fun and riffs to be had at Download 2022.
