Get ready heavy metal fans, because the first wave of performers and hosts have finally been announced for the Heavy Music Awards 2023!
The renowned award ceremony, set to take place at the world famous OVO arena in Wembley on Tuesday 18th April, is well known for showcasing the diverse global icons of heavy music, and this year is no different.
With four nominations between them, Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger of the phenomenal Halestorm will be playing an intimate show, accompanied by the inimitable guitarist Sophie Lloyd, but don’t worry music fans because that’s not all!
The Pennsylvania natives are also set to be joined by hugely influential bands such as Underoath, Creeper, Boston Manor, and HMA record makers (boasting five nominations this year) Vukovi who will be joined by the always provocative Scene Queen, in a HMA exclusive collaboration.

Along with these iconic performers, the award ceremony will be hosted by none other than renowned broadcaster and Kerrang! Radio’s Alex Baker. As well as BBC Radio 1 Introducing Rock presenter, Alyx Holcombe and BBC Radio 1 Future Alternative presenter Nels Hylton. Who will be taking to the red carpet to meet your favourite artists and revel in the undoubted excitement of the evening.
Since its inception back in 2017, the Heavy Music Awards has certified itself as a staple on heavy metal fans calendars, supporting up and coming artists such as Nova Twins and Hot Milk to name just a few. With an insane line up of artists and their almost psychic ability to recognise and support new talent just before it erupts onto the mainstream, you won’t want to miss this!
