It has long been speculated on the Internet, Twitter in particular, but it has been finally confirmed to the world that The Rolling Stones, in addition to headlining Glastonbury, will be headlining one of the new British Summer Time events in London’s Hyde Park this Summer.
The show marks the return of The Rolling Stones to the site of one of their most famous shows, having performed in Hyde Park back in 1969 just two days after the death of original guitarist Brian Jones. British Summer Time will be The Stones’ first performance in Hyde Park since that famous date fourty three years ago and will take place on Saturday July 6th 2013.
The event will have four stages across the park and in addition to The Rolling Stones there will be appearances from The Vaccines, The Temper Trap, Gary Clark Jr and King Charles, Palma Violets, Tribes, The Boxer Rebellion and a lot more acts who have not yet been announced.
Tickets for British Summer Time will be available from 9am on Friday April 5th 2013. Any further announcements concerning additional acts or any further shows from The Rolling Stones will be available here as and when they are announced, along with the latest rock & roll news from bands big and small.
