When the most recent Download Festival announcement was made yesterday (viewable here), one name was conspicuous by their absence from the line up and the poster, Swedish metal favourites In Flames, who were previously confirmed to play the event some months ago. Yesterday evening In Flames put out the following brief message on their social media accounts:
“Announcement – In Flames has decided to postpone all shows planned for summer 2014. New tour dates will be presented shortly.”
The band, who are expected to reveal details of their first new album in three years soon, did not offer any reason for the cancellation / postponement of the shows. As and when they provide any further news of new shows or about the expected new album, we will report it here.
