The best new year party on the planet? Quite possibly.
Finnish love metallers HIM have announced their annual heavy metal hootenanny will happen once more in Helsinki this December.
The Helldone Festival takes place at legendary rock club Tavastia. Iconic glam rockers Hanoi Rocks got their first break there and playing the venue has been a right of passage for many more bands since, including HIM. The band started the tradition fifteen years ago and it became Helldone in 2004.
This year’s event is a 3-day party kicking off on December 29th with British doom legends Paradise Lost supported by local heroes The 69 Eyes.
The following night Finland’s own Children of Bodom will bring their “Hatecrew” with hair-sprayed pouters Reckless Love along for the ride. Finally HIM headline the New Year’s Eve show on 31st December.
The event has a Facebook page with full information at Helldone Festival
