Well this was a welcome bit of news for a Tuesday lunchtime! Goth rock superstars Evanescence have just announced they’re returning to the UK for a one off performance this Summer!
Fans will be able to see Amy Lee and the rest of her Evanescence band mates at the world famous Hammersmith Apollo in London on the 14th of June 2017. Tickets will go on sale this Friday (20th January 2017) at 10am through Axs.com and AEGLive.co.uk.
It’s been over five years since the last new Evanescence studio album, though a vinyl Ultimate Collection Box Set was released just before Christmas 2016.
It will be very interesting to see if this announcement leads to more shows, or given the date’s proximity to the Download Festival, and given that there is a main stage main support slot under Biffy Clyro waiting to be filled on the Saturday, are Evanescence set to return to Donington after a ten year absence? Wait and see!
