Many of us hoped that the tradition of WWE NXT being part of the Download Festival would continue in 2019. Well it is, and in a big new way.
As confirmed by WWE on the WWEUK Twitter account a few minutes ago, a TV taping for a future installment of NXT UK is going to take place at Download 2019. With the main / US NXT roster having been part of Download for the last few years, this is another step in the evolution of the relationship between the WWE and the Download Festival, which feels like a very sensible next step for all concerned.
Given the likes of Finn Balor have made guest appearances at NXT UK already, hopefully there will be a surprise guest or two also making the trip to the hallowed Donington turf.
