After teasing us for the last week with a cryptic billboard in their hometown of New Jersey. Deathcore maestros, Lorna Shore have finally put us all out of our collective misery. Officially announcing their upcoming sixth studio album- I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me.
Scheduled to land on store shelves and digital platforms everywhere on September 12th. The bands follow up to 2022’s Pain Remains has become one of the years most highly anticipated albums of overnight. Thanks in no small part to Oblivion, The debut single from I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me.
A blisteringly heavy lesson in orchestrated chaos. Oblivion has racked up nearly half a million views on YouTube in the last 24 hours. Which is especially impressive considering it’s eight minute plus runtime!
Lorna Shore Vocalist, Will Ramos had this to say about the bands latest single- “Writing this song felt like the culmination of all the things that we’ve done in the past, but brought to the next level; a more evolved version of what Lorna Shore truly is.” He adds, “I imagined a post-apocalyptic world in the (hopefully distant) future. A world where we have sown the seeds of our own destruction. The idea that we wished for better, hoped we were doing something that would help save us in this dying world, only to end up accelerating its inevitable destruction. This brings up the question; what is right? Do we even know what we’re doing? What have we done to try and actually change anything? Are we watering the earth or just feeding a constantly growing fire?”
UK fans won’t have to wait long to see if Lorna Shore are ready to tease another track or two from their forthcoming album either. With the band poised to take Download Festivals Opus Stage by storm in just a few weeks time. Their latest announcement goes one step further to making their set one of the weekends must see moments.
