It may not be the most extreme album of 2019, but it is finer than many of their peers are able to achieve at this point in the game.
This debut showcases a band with a lot to give who just need to refine delivery.
It is a more than satisfying way to pass the time, but it’s hard to get genuinely excited about an album so content in trading on other bands’ glories.
Some peers of the genre have moved on however, and it feels as though modern metalcore has had its day in the sun. Sticking mostly to the formula, The Devil Wears Prada bring us their seventh LP, The Act.
